Today we are here united for my first review ever.
I have finally finished my cleansing oil from the Face Shop. This was a purchase I had been really looking forward to as I had been reading lots of positive feedback about it.
The truth is that I am very disappointed by the product and let me just clarify why:
- The product does not remove make up efficiently, do not even dream about getting rid of your mascara with this even after the fourth wash (fact, because I actually tried it).
- The amount of product needed just to cleanse off the make up was excessive, I finished the product within a month and half of regular use.
- The texture of it was oily but not that emulsifying when used in conjunction with water. Whenever I rubbed this on my face I felt like it was not working properly;
- I think that the product is fine if you want to use it as a cleanser to remove sebum but if you are looking into this product for double cleansing this is not the most convenient. Because you will most certainly need to invest into an extra product to remove all your make up residues.
The rating of the product are:
Packaging: 4/5 … I have to admit it, the packaging is cute! The bottle is a sheer pink and I have also seen online some pearly version of it;
Effectiveness: 2/5 As already mentioned it is not very useful to remove make up;
Value: 2/5 The cost of it is affordable but still pricey compared drugstore competitors;
Longevity: 2.5/5 It does not last very long compared to many other K-brands cleansers.
I found this product at the TKMaxx in Charing Cross in London for £10.15 circa. I am not a heavy make up user but I do love me some cushion foundation, concealer and red lipstick for my everyday routine and this cleanser has not been able to hold up to the expectations but if…and I say IF you still want to give it a try and see it for your self please find below some links where to purchase it.
Despite this being a not-so-positive review I hope that you did find it useful and if there are any specific products that you are interested into, please do not hesitate to comment below. As a skincare products junkie I love to try out new products and why not let me be your little guinea pig before committing to them?! 😛
